Tom Mark, MA, LCMHC

Tom I offer individual therapy for adults and family therapy to help parents with their teenagers. I do not offer couples therapy as a service.

I also work with parenting issues and behavior modification techniques to assist parents in bringing about positive change for their families. Screen addiction and behavioral issues with adolescents is also a service I provide. This is largely done working with parents to re-empower themselves to increase structure and discipline while simultaneously strengthening their emotional bond with their child.

Entering therapy can be challenging, including social stigmas that portray counseling as a sign of “weakness” or being non-masculine. Many men and women who find the strength to look at themselves in counseling are actually insightful, courageous and resilient. By respecting an individual's background and belief system, I find success working with people who are apprehensive about counseling.

Clients appreciate my sense of humor and supportive manner while guiding them toward their own resolutions. Taking both a humanistic and cognitive behavioral approach to therapy, I work from the philosophy that many answers lie within ourselves.
