Jason Merrin, Ph.D., Psy.D. has been providing psychotherapy and evaluations for children and adults since 2003. He is currently licensed in the states of Maine and New Hampshire as a Psychologist.
Regarding Psychotherapy, Dr. Merrin works with clients throughout the lifespan starting at 12 years of age using primarily Positive Psychology (PP) and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) techniques to work with his clients in a holistic and nurturing fashion that maximizes well-being. He has also utilized Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when applicable.
Dr. Merrin's evaluations include Neuropsychological, Educational, Forensic, Expert Witness/Legal Consultation, Parental Capacity, general Capacity, General Diagnostic/Clinical, Risk Assessment, Disability, Social Security, Worker's Compensation, Competency, Placement, Sports psychology, Executive assessment and performance enhancement.
Dr. Merrin graduated from Brown University in 1997 with a degree in Organizational Behavior Management and a minor in Psychology. He then worked as a Business Development Manager with a few technology companies before entering graduate school in 2003 at the California School of Professional Psychology. He earned doctorates in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology and Organizational Development and has Neuropsychological post-doctoral training.
Dr. Merrin spends as much time as possible with his young son and daughter who are loving, compassionate and curious about themselves and the world around them.
He is available for appointments Monday through Wednesday 9-7 and Thursday 9-3 and is in the process of credentialing with all major insurances.
